I create Black Tulip using a mixture of acrylic paint and paper on canvas. Tulips hold a special place in my heart as some of my favorite flowers to paint. Their delicate petals and vibrant colors inspire me. For this piece, I decide to focus on black tulips, an unusual variety that symbolizes fragility. As I apply layers of paint and paper to the canvas, the black tulip begin to emerge in subtle shades of darkness. It's siluete is wispy and delicate against the background. I want viewers to feel the fragility that the black tulip represents yet also experience their subtle beauty. Through mixing media, I strive to capture both the strength and vulnerability within all living things. The finished work becomes my tribute to nature's resilience even in its most delicate forms.
